Hello and welcome back to TenPaths Tarot. Read this post for a bit and, if it sounds as though Spirit is speaking to you, it probably is. Spirit is always giving us messages to help guide us. If you decide this reading is not for you, then look over some of the other messages and see if any of the titles seem pertinent.
Starting off, we have The Drum. And so when I think of drums, I immediately think of spiritual connections. They have been used in rituals forever. I think of rhythm–the rhythm of life. I think of music and creators of music. And so let’s see in what direction this leads us.
And the first card out is the Hanged Man. And so when the Hanged Man comes out, it is telling us that we might want to see things from a different perspective. We’re suspended while we think about where to go. And so I would say right now, we are not part of that rhythm. We have stepped out of sync with it. And I’m wondering why, or to what purpose.
And the next card is the Knight of Cups. Cups represents love, but it can also represent life-force energy. We all need water to survive, and we must go with the water’s flow. And this knight is riding a seahorse. A seahorse can represent our dreams. A seahorse also has a different way of nurturing its young. The male carries the babies and cares for them. And so this card encourages us to look at things in a different way. The gentleman in this card also seems very concerned with spilling any of the water in his chalice, so he’s not moving ahead very quickly. Nevertheless, there is some movement, albeit minimal.
But with the next card, we have more movement. We have another knight, the Knight of Wands. So we have life-force energy and our dreams. And now we have two steps, or two beats. So we have a rhythm starting.
Where is this leading to us, this forward motion? I see the Knight of Wands is wearing a lion’s face on his shoulders. That indicates he’s moving forward with strength. He is looking back a bit, so he’s still a little hesitant. He’s wondering if he’s taking the right path.
And the next card says this is definitely the right path. We are headed for the Nine of Pentacles—accomplishment; success; attainment. The pentacles can represent anything that we really want in physical life. And so there is contemplation, very calculated, slow movement forward, and then attainment. So if you are thinking about a particular endeavor, it is likely to be successful. And this slow, forward, regular, methodical, rhythmic movement is what’s going to bring you success. You don’t have to rush. In fact, this reading advises against it.
And now I asked Spirit, “Do you have anything to add to this successful endeavor? Any additional advice?”
Remember that anytime Spirit gives us a negative card, it’s to help us–to give us a heads-up. And the next card, The Nine of Swords, is a caution card. Although we could have he Nine of Pentacles, there is the possibility that we could veer the wrong way and start overthinking everything. That would mean that the progress made by the knights would come to a stop, and we would just start thinking and thinking and thinking. Spirit is cautioning us not to linger in this energy. Even if you move forward slowly and methodically, continue working toward your goal. Overthinking will be fatal to your dream.
Overall, you are doing well. Continue to focus on your desired path and don’t stop moving. The movement doesn’t have to be fast, and it probably will not be. It does need to be steady. You basically don’t want to allow yourself too much time to start questioning yourself and everything you’re doing.
And that is for Spirit’s message for you today. I hope it helped you, and I hope to see you again soon.
Bye for now.
