Hello everyone, and welcome back to TenPaths Tarot. My name is Everett, and today we’re going to do something a little different.
I have been reading the individual sun signs one at a time. The only problem is, there are messages that come through that I think would be helpful for people, no matter what their sun sign. And so if this reading sounds like it resonates with you, then read all the way to the end. But if it does not resonate with you, wait for tomorrow’s message.
But I am going to put out a message every day from Spirit, and it’s up to you as the seeker to find the ones that resonate. I think we all know that, when we’re listening to a message, whether it strikes a chord within us or not. If it doesn’t, it’s not going to help us. If we’re not ready for that message, or it doesn’t apply right now, we’re not going to benefit from it. And so this is a give and take.
Now let’s get to today’s reading. The oracle card is, Catch Your Breath. And here we have someone who is looking back over the past few months. This is someone in a period of autumn, looking forward to spring. But they’ve been working very hard. And now it is time to rest. We have to follow the ups and downs graciously and allow them to direct us as they will.
Now when I look at these cards, I see someone who, at heart, is adventurous; stronger than they realize; and who should be looking for synchronicities–because Spirit is trying to guide them and help them. This is someone who has probably attained a certain level of connection with Spirit. They at least feel confident that they can ask Spirit for help and their prayers will be answered. This is someone who believes in doing the right thing as far as their employment goes or their tasks go. They take them seriously. They want to do a good job. But in spite of that, within them, there is a longing to follow one or more dreams. And will we do that? Can we do that? That is going to be the question.
First let’s look at the recent past. And as I’ve said before, recent varies from person to person. It is affected by age. It is affected by mood. And so we start with the Corsair, or the Knight of Spirals, with spirals representing our dreams. This is someone who is ambitious; somewhat impulsive–like the pirate depicted. They tend to want things now. They don’t want to wait a very long time to find their treasure. And so we’re starting with that restless energy. We suddenly envision our dream, and we want to start moving toward it.
The next card shows us that this dream is a real possibility if we watch for synchronicities to help us along the way. We have two crows, with crows being incredibly intelligent animals. One has found a pearl of wisdom in the tree of life. And he didn’t go looking for it. He just found it as he was foraging. So be on the watch for those hopeful things from Spirit that are coming your way. Sometimes they may not be obvious.
The next card indicates that you’re going in with tiger energy. You’re going in feeling strong. The young tiger shown is strong. He is powerful. He is surrounded by thoughts. The thoughts are keeping him penned in, but this nearly-grown tiger could jump out of this corral of scrolls, or simply step through them.
This is a person who has attained a certain level of spiritual connection. They feel confident that they can ask for blessings. They want to send blessings to others. And I know this from the Six of Spirals. The prayer flags shown can be looked at in one of two ways. Either we are asking for Spirit’s blessings, or we are sending blessings out to the world.
Now let’s go into our current energy. Where are we going?
We start out with the Eight of Pentacles. So here we have someone very dedicated to their job. They’re good at their job. It does not allow them to look up very often and appreciate what is around them. They want to. Somewhere along the way, this daily grind of always doing what’s expected, always doing the job whether they want to or not, is starting to annoy them. It’s starting to activate something within them. They want to move forward on one or more dreams.
In the Two of Wands, this person has found their big-cat energy. He moves forward with the mane of a lion and the tail of a lion. He is ready to go ahead with his dreams and leave behind the cares of the world. Does he make progress? Is this going anywhere? Spirit is saying, yes it is. There will be growth–steady growth.
You next have the Four of Wands. So you went from the two to the four. There is celebration. There is a strong foundation for these dreams. Four represents stability. Things are moving ahead as they should.
But now we come to the caution card. There is often a caution card at the end of these readings that Spirit provides. And it is the Knight of Swords. And here we have someone who believes, “I know what to do. I can plow ahead and make these dreams come true quickly.” No, you can’t. This card cautions against impulsivity. Don’t be too impulsive. Don’t try to rush things, because they cannot be rushed.
Remember that the progression from the Two of Wands to the Four of Wands was a steady, slow process. It allowed time for those synchronicities, those pearls of wisdom, to be gathered. And by rushing things, we risk destroying all the progress we will make.
And so again, we come back to the oracle card. And it is reminding us to take time out to catch our breath. We don’t have to race to exhaustion.
