Hello Aries, and welcome back to TenPaths Tarot. I’m really glad to see you today. You have a really dramatic reading today.
When I look at these cards, I see someone who is going through a repeating cycle of feeling energized and then completely down or exhausted. And they say, “Well, I don’t know how to move forward”; yet somehow they draw on inner strength, start moving themselves forward, and start accomplishing things–until something throws them off course, at which time then they give up once more. And so, how do we get out of that funk so we don’t have to keep starting over again and again.
Let’s look at where you’re coming from in your recent past. And we start out with the Two of Stones. And here we see a bear, and it is walking over two barren rocks. And it’s important that these rocks are barren. It shows me this bear has been in hibernation and is stepping out. There hasn’t been any growth. The rocks are not covered with vegetation yet. But the bear is strong. And strength does resonate throughout your reading. So I know that internally you’re tough. If you don’t think you are, you’re tougher than you think.
The next card out is the Wheel of Fortune. And here we have decided to trust in wherever Spirit leads us. We don’t know if the wheel will land on good things or bad things, or on things that will just help us grow as a person–as a living being on this planet. But we’re willing to move forward with trust that Spirit will guide us in the appropriate direction. And in the background of this card there is a tree. It looked like it had died. It reminds me of these barren rocks. But here it is sending out new branches. So this tree is starting to grow.
Next we have The Acrobat, or the Page of Stones, who is moving forward in this material world. This acrobat is confident in their abilities. Do they know how to do everything? No. But they know that if they move forward consistently and practice, that one skill builds on another; and soon what is very difficult looks easy-peasy. They know how to quiet that monkey mind. The acrobat says to the monkey behind her, “You can chatter away, but just face in the other direction, because I’m moving this way.”
And then we have the Ten of Mirrors. And mirrors represents loving energy. It doesn’t have to be romantic love. It can be, “I appreciate the world.” And you are seeing all the interconnectedness. One ribbon intersects with another and another. And so we are willing again to follow a path, knowing that if it turns out to be the wrong path, that another will intersect and lead us in the right direction. Again, we’re trusting in Spirit. We’re also trusting more and more in ourselves.
Now we’re going into your current energy, and there are going to be some changes coming up. Now, remember, we’ve got that Wheel of Fortune card. So those changes could be really good, they could be really bad, or they could be meant to eventually send you in the right direction. They may be there to put a challenge before you that you must overcome in order to build confidence.
I read that they have found that if you play games and win, the confidence you feel moves ahead with you. So play that Sudoku or the Mahjong, or whatever you like to do. Play something you can win. Because it’s that winning feeling that propels you forward.
And this is the kind of energy you may need going forward. Because there is the Tower card. There is a major shake-up on the way. Again, it can be good. It can be bad. It can simply be there to force you to grow.
And what happens then? Then we have to center ourselves. We have the Temperance card. And this figure is balanced on top of a mountain, and she is measuring out liquid into jugs. She is very focused. She’s also taking a broader view from atop the mountain. And she has confidence that she can overcome this tower-moment event. She’s calling on her inner strength.
So everything looked bleak or completely changed. “I’m not sure I can survive this” whether it’s good or bad. Sometimes something very good can be so overwhelming that we’re equally exhausted by it. But there is inner strength here, and that is what Temperance is calling on.
And finally, we have the Seven of Wands. Now I could look at this in a couple of different ways. We may be fighting ourselves–our own desires, our own hopes, our own dreams. We could be fighting other people who are putting our dreams down, although I am not getting the feeling that that is the case here. We could be saying, “I have additional dreams!” But the strength is in choosing one and moving forward.
But there is a resistance in this card to going anywhere. We’re just standing our ground and not wanting to move. And maybe that is the new stuck-point. It’s not that we’re weak. It’s not that we can’t move forward. But for some reason, we’ve just taken a more defensive position.
And so today, the oracle card didn’t set the initial tone for the reading. Instead, it is advising you to get out of this defensive position.
And so, what do you do? The card says, Heighten Your Vitality. And the figure shown is looking at the world as something beautiful; something to be explored and appreciated. And in the background there are images of people doing different things.
What is your favorite thing to do? What do you like to do, Aries? That will heighten your vitality. Just stepping forward, taking that step to build that confidence, will propel you ahead. Every time we get out and move in the world, we build confidence. We meet other people and discover that we can talk to them easily. We become aware of new things. That is heightening our vitality. That is what gives us confidence moving forward.
This reading shows that you are strong. It shows that you are able. You just need to occasionally recharge that confidence. Not because you’re unskilled. You’re very skilled. You’re very brave. But at times you get into a defensive position that blocks you from moving forward.
By charging ahead as the ram, you can knock down those mental blocks. You know how a ram jumps from ledge to ledge? They almost bounce. I’ve seen goats bounce playfully off barn walls. That’s how agile they are. And so the goat– the ram–is all about movement. To heighten your vitality, move. Get out. Do something that you enjoy that will challenge you just a bit, and from which you can build confidence.
And so that is all that Spirit had to say. Bye for now Aries. I hope to see you again soon.
