Pisces May 16 – Intuitive Success

Hello Pisces, and welcome back to TenPaths Tarot. Let’s dive right in.

Today your oracle card is Intuition. So Spirit is encouraging you to follow divine guidance. Just as the hare does not wait or need to be told when to leap out of harm’s way, you have the gift of instinct. Whereas some people might have to think a lot before they take an action, you spend a lot of time in a different brain-wave frequency. And you are thinking, but you’re not defining it as thought. You might say, “I just jump into things.”

Well, yes and no. You may not be able to define why you’re moving in a certain direction, but you can sense it’s the right direction. It’s not a wrong way of thinking; it’s just a different way.

And so, let’s start at the bottom with the Seven of Spirals. We’re going into your recent energy. And we have this bear in a cave and he’s looking at his desires, and he’s not sure if he should come out of the cave yet. Now, when the bear decides it’s the right time, it’s largely a matter of intuition and sensing when is a good time to emerge from the safety of the cave after the winter.

What you want to be is The Sorceress, the High Priestess. Again, this is someone whose senses more than they think. They are putting together the right elements–all of the things around them; the things they’ve experienced. They are moving forward with wisdom, but its raven wisdom, or crow wisdom. It’s clever, it’s intuitive, and it teaches others by setting an example. This is someone who has their emotions under control.

We also have The Sojourner, and that is someone who is capable of traveling and adapting to different environments pretty easily. They may stay in that environment for a few weeks, a few months, a few years; and then they move on. They are in control of their emotions. They know how to adapt. See, he is leading this horse, which represents emotion. The horse can start easily and run away. But the sojourner is leading the horse. The horse is not leading him.

And again you have another traveler–sort of a traveler through life. This is The Pilgrim. And all of those bags on her back are old thoughts; things she has taken with her; her baggage so to speak Along the way, she might want to put some of those down. That’s a lot of weight to have to carry. Will she be successful in doing that?

The next card indicates she’ll be quite successful. It’s the Queen of Swords, or the Queen of Thought. She has had to fight past battles. We see people hanged in the background. Now that can have several meanings. It can mean forces were against her that she had to battle, and that she conquered. It can be her own internal strife; her own worries of the bleakest things happening. It could also represent The Hanged Man in tarot, which means that we’re looking at things from different perspectives. And perhaps we’ve had to look at things from different perspectives several times over.

And that is how we’ve grown. She has learned to trim away what isn’t needed or what is dead. And she moves forward with clarity. She still has a lot of love; a lot of emotion. It’s under control.

Then we have the King of Cups. This is someone who knows how to control their own anxiety. Maybe they’ve shed a few of those bags. Maybe they’ve clipped away what hasn’t served them. They know how to give and also to receive. They’re very balanced.

The person in this reading is imaginative, creative, balanced; very balanced. And what direction are they heading? I can’t get better—The World! The world is at their disposal. They know how to use their emotion. They know how to use their resources, their desires, and their thoughts. And the path is opening up to them. That is the direction you’re heading.

But then there’s a little warning from Spirit, and it’s saying that thought may again overtake you. You were carrying a lot of baggage, and some of these thoughts may come back to haunt you. The Two of Swords shows two people and one is angry. This may indicate someone close to you is reprimanding you. Perhaps they don’t understand how you’re being successful; how you’re moving forward without being able to clarify, in words, the direction you’re going. Maybe you think a little differently, and people don’t understand.

This could also be you scolding yourself: “Why didn’t you get here sooner? You’re not thinking this through.” And, “You’re not worth all of this. How do you think you can be successful without all of this prior knowledge and studying?” But this is saying that you can. You can have the world open up to you, and you’re going in the right direction.

But this is a warning that someone or something is putting doubts into your mind. A little doubt is okay. A little doubt makes us think about what we need to get rid of. But too much will keep us frozen, like the bear. “Is it safe to go out? Is the snow completely cleared?” Maybe we don’t want to wait until it’s completely cleared. That may be too late. We need to use our intuition.
