Hello Pisces, and welcome back to TenPaths Tarot.
Today Spirit has a beautiful message for you, and it starts out with the oracle card, Take Root. And here it shows a woman with her feet firmly planted. Her roots have become almost like stone, and her wings are small. She is locked into a community, but she looks very happy about it.
In your recent past, we have someone who is juggling their earthly life with the Two of Pentacles. They feel like they can’t let them fall to the ground. They are hoping to fly one day. Their wings are colorful, and they have a hopeful expression.
And as they work, they’re encouraged to do things “the right way”, and follow the rule of the Hierophant. “Do what’s always been done, and it will surely lead you to success.” You oblige and follow the rules.. You do what’s expected from everyone else. You do what you’ve been told is the surefire way to build success, and this works to a degree. You go from a two to a Five of Pentacles.
However, this Five of Pentacles indicates that you’re not satisfied. And look at those poor wings. They’re now frozen to the ground. You want to fly again! But at this point, you feel as though you can’t progress. You feel forced to continue building something you don’t want.
But, that initial success that you didn’t want and the self-reflection that followed led you to see things in a new way; a more hopeful way. You’ve got the Two of Cups. We could have encountered a significant other–or a partnership that gave us a new lease on life. Maybe we started to see the magic in things. The figures in the Two of Cups are mythical. Maybe the world was much broader than we could have imagined.
And once we changed our perspective, look what happened. In the Nine of Spirals, the winds of change blew our way. The spirals represent our dreams. They’re coming at us so fast that we have to follow the flow. We’ve got no choice.
And in the Eight of Spirals, dreams seemed to be falling toward us like fire from the sky. And with all of that extra air, everything is ablaze with possibility. It’s almost overwhelming. If we’re the deer in the card, we’re actually afraid of the rapidity of all of this. That change in attitude just changed everything so quickly.
But then we acquire the Ten of Stones. The Stones represent our earthly life, and it is so abundant. We’re clutching more magical crystals than we can manage. And even though things were scorched a bit with this rapid-fire advancement and improvement in our lives, the trees are starting to grow back around us. And everything looks hopeful.
In fact, things are so hopeful–and our attitude is so much better– that we want to become the Ace of Mirrors. We want our love to flow out to everyone. And in this card we are surrounded by sea life. And the ocean is where most of our oxygen comes from. And we just want to let that love–that oxygen– flow.. That oxygen that flowed to us– we want it to flow to others. And we want it to flow to the world.
But this Take Root card is reminding us that that decision is up to you. Because we can try to expand our love and our knowledge and that enthusiasm to all the world, or we can take root in our community and simply expand it to the people around us; toward the people in our city, our town, our school. People nearby are as much in need of this newfound love for life as are people at a distance.
But who you want to influence is really up to you. This is someone who wants to influence positively and in very constructive ways.
