Hello Libra, and welcome back to TenPaths Tarot. Spirit has a beautiful message for you today. And at first it may seem a little scary, but it’s really inspirational.
We start out with Open Your Heart. I think you might have had that last week? And it shows deep love for family. There’s a significant other next to the central figure. And the swan is very protective of its family; extremely protective. Family is everything to a swan. And then there’s an egg down that has children in it. So this is all about family–people we know–and our involvement with them.
With The World card, we start out feeling like everything is wonderful. We’ve got it all. And we feel as though we’re pouring love to the world.
We’re kind of apart from everything, but we’re okay with that. We feel happy. We feel like we’ve grown. We’ve got everything we imagined. But then there’s been a shift recently, and a thinking, “I’m living; I want to live. There has to be more.”
And so now we have that Fool attitude. And The Fool is not foolish. It’s someone who has a new lease on life, so to speak. They’re realizing,” I don’t need to carry all the baggage with me. I can just take what I need, and I’m ready to go on new adventures.”
And he could be stepping off that cliff, or he could be stepping onto new ground. Spirit is guiding him. There is a little candle in his hat, and there’s a rainbow. Maybe he’ll find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but that’s not really what this person is seeking. They have been looking internally; within. They have been trying to become the Queen of Cups.
And the Queen of Cups represents someone who feels so much love, and they’re trying to develop that love further and spread it. This isn’t a real active card here. This queen looks as though she’s just thinking about everything around her, and in this case, probably everyone she cares about and her relationship to them. And she wants to approach things with love. And this is a change somehow, but only you know in which way.
The next card up is the King of Wands. Now wands represents our passions; the things we think are important; the things we want to go after. And here is the King of Wands. He has his passion, and he wants to hand it to the next generation. So someone tried to do this with you. Someone tried to pass on their passion–what they thought was important–to you. Or you have been trying to do that to someone else. And a king doesn’t take no for an answer! So either you were greatly pressured to accept this wand. “This is the way things are, because it’s what I’m interested in. And now you must be interested in it too.” Either this has happened to you, or you have been feeling this way toward others.
But then there’s been a tower moment. And in tarot, a tower moment is a great change. Sometimes it’s an actual physical change, or sometimes it’s an emotional change. Now here we’re talking a lot about emotions, with the Queen of Cups. And so I tend to think it’s about emotions. But something has changed your way of thinking.
We have Kali. She is a goddess, and she had a tower moment in her life. Kali was the goddess of compassion. She was so compassionate, and that’s how she saw herself, “I’m very loving. I’m very compassionate.” And she was. Everyone loved her.
But then some demons came to town, And the demons wanted to take over the world. And it was Kali’s job, as the most giving person, to sacrifice herself to get rid of these demons. And she would have. She went out and she fought the demons. But every time she killed one, each drop of blood would turn into another demon. And she kept battling and battling against a vast army. And she eventually resorted to–ugh–licking up every drop of blood as it fell. And it drove her a little mad.
So when you see her depicted, she’s very scary. And she has the skulls, or the heads, of all of these demons that she slayed around her neck.
So there’s been a tower moment. And in the past, maybe you thought of yourself as being very compassionate, but then some one rejected some part of your love, or you realized that through your imposition, you unintentionally hurt them in some way.
And now you have the Eight of Spirals, and the spirals are our passions. And this card says, “I am going to force these passions upon you.” But here you see that in doing this, you’re burning the field down. These spirals are falling like balls of fire, and the deer is running.
And so then there’s been this great change. And you would think, “Oh, I’m doomed now!” No. What comes next is the King of Scrolls. This tower moment has made him realize that (and when I say him, it could be her. Tarot knows no gender), “I need to rethink this. I think I’ve been doing things right, but maybe I need to reconsider.”
And I get the strong impression with the next card–here’s that rabbit cowering after the fall out—that this has been pretty significant. And the significance lingers within you.
And this king is writing. And when I see these writings, I think of two things. I think of a will, and that you want to leave a greater legacy behind. Or the writings could be memoirs, which is sort of the same thing. You want to leave behind what you know and how you’ve changed, so the next person won’t have to go through that. And so what legacy do you want to leave behind?
And the next card says that you want people to remember you as the Queen of Mirrors, the Queen of Love; someone who would be willing to give you literally the shirt off their back; someone who, when it’s time to say good-bye… And the figure looks as though she’s waving. So here, in this reading, I think this is talking about legacy still. She is saying good-bye, and she wants you to remember her as being kind; kind to a fault; not this King of Wands.
“Don’t remember me as this king. Remember my kindness instead. Not this imposed strength.”
And so again, I don’t know if this is something someone imposed upon you–said, “That’s what you should do. This is how you live life.” But this is what they actually, in the end, want you to remember.
And so you are having these thoughts about how your life has life impacted others, and if it’s not been in the best way, how can I change that? Can I change that?
And so that last question made me ask for another oracle card. And I got the Dreamcatcher. Now this is interesting, because we were talking about legacy and the dreamcatcher is given to children. It’s given to children to filter out the bad thoughts, memories, dreams. And in the morning, when the sun rises, there’s a new start. All of those bad thoughts and dreams dissolve. And you see only the beautiful web of connection once again.
And so I think spirit’s message here is that the way to get a fresh start is just do that. Just start being kinder to others–being more thoughtful. Be the King of Scrolls, the King of Thought, the King of Consideration before doing something, Be kind; loving. And let your current behavior be what’s remembered last.
Maybe there will come a time where you won’t want to put out the dreamcatcher into the light any more, because it will only be filled with love and fond memories. And that is your ultimate goal. I think you will find that when your behavior changes, and when your true caring nature shines from within you, that people soon forget what you used to be. They will remember what you are last.
So it’s never too late to change. They will remember what’s last in the story–that great ending. They won’t remember that middle part. It’ll get fuzzy.
So yes, Spirit is saying you can leave behind this beautiful legacy. You may be well on your way. You’ve been working on this, and Spirit is saying it will happen. You can filter away those bad memories, or anything you think is bad.
So this is a message of inspiration.
I hope you’ve gotten something from today’s reading. I hope to see you again soon.
