Hello Virgo.
Today Spirit gave us two sets of four cards, plus an oracle card. I actually asked for the oracle card first in order to set to the tone for the reading; so I would know in which context to read the cards.
The oracle card was “Prepare”, and it shows a man writing. He looks like he’s planning to do something; maybe start a business venture or go on a trip. He wants to do something major, and that’ll be different for each one of us.
The first card that popped out of the deck was the King of Pentacles, which could indicate past success that you’re hoping to build on, or it could indicate a future goal—that thing which you want to build. So it could be the past or it could be what you want for the future. I tend to think this reading is more about the future.
And bookending this, we have the Ace of Pentacles. This is what you want. These are your big goals. But you’re seeing this thing you want as already done; envisioning it completed. And, in a way, this is overwhelming you, because you see only the success. All of the little things you have to do along the way just look like annoyances. But the little things are the path; the journey. That’s why, when we reach our destination, it feels rewarding—because we know all of the work and all of the steps that went into it.
And then we have the Five of Wands, with wands representing our desires. But the men in this card aren’t talking to each other. They’re all looking in different directions and thinking their own thoughts, and no one is talking to anyone else. And that’s maybe literal, if you’re working with a team, but this could also represent your own thoughts and internal dialogue, where one moment you’re thinking, “Oh, I have to do this.” Then, “No, I have do this and that.” Your mind is going in five different directions or more.
And Spirit wants to help, as indicated by The Star. The Star represents guidance through confusion; through darkness. We have to be careful as we take steps forward not to attach to any one idea or process, because some may simply be reflections with no real value. And some of the preparation is simply learning as you go. As you travel, decide which directions are paying off and which roads you might want to close down. You might even want to put a log over certain trails, so you know not to go there again.
