Hello Taurus, and welcome to TenPaths Tarot.
I started today’s reading by asking Spirit for an oracle card, in order to determine the major theme of this reading. What is it we’re talking about? And the card given to me was “communication.”
So there’s someone in our social life or work life that we need to communicate with, and there may be many of those people—people that we’ve put off to the side.
The first card that came out of the deck was the Four of Wands. And in this card, there are two people who want to build a magnificent tower. They want to build something for the future, and they’ve taken a vow to do that. And they’ve laid the foundation for that dream, so that’s an excellent start.
But then what happens?
Next is the Eight of Pentacles. There’s now too much involvement in this project and you now feel alone. And, in a sense, you are alone because you’ve blocked yourself off from others. You are so involved in your work and so involved with your project that it’s all you can see. And you think that’s all you have time for, to the point that we next have the Four of Cups.
In the Four of Cups, a disgruntled man gazes at the three cups before him, but refuses a fourth that Spirit tries to provide. The cups represent our emotions. And this card shows someone who has just shut down. They can’t take any more. They are tired.
And Spirit says, “I have so much love to give to you; beautiful things to offer to you.”
You just have to look up, away from your work, but instead you say, “I’m working too hard. I’m too tired to listen to these messages. I’m too tired for anything but my work.”
And so Spirit is asking you for balance.
Next is Temperance, which refers to balancing emotion, spiritual life, and our earthly existence—all of the things we need for a harmonious life. If we only concentrate on one of these things—if we only concentrate on or work (even if that work is spiritual)—we’re blocking everything else out. Then we feel tired and alone. So we have to reopen that door of communication.
Now it’s up to you individually to determine what you have shut out. Have you shut out your family, because you feel you’re too busy and you’re too tired to deal with them? Have you stopped talking to Spirit because you are too busy?
“I’m just working so hard!”
Maybe, but if you don’t have that love and emotion, what was the point of all of this building? If you lose that, then the work was pointless. Even if you become very successful, it may be an empty kind of success that just separates you further from other people.
