Hello Cancer, and welcome to TenPaths Tarot.
Today Spirit gave us an oracle card to set the tone for the reading, plus eight additional cards.
In the oracle card, “beauty”, a woman is shown in darkness. Darkness usually indicates the unknown. And when this woman blows out her candle, it’s going to get even more murky. But she seems unafraid. So we don’t always know what’s ahead.
The first card that sprang from the deck is the Empress. Right now or in the recent past, we felt like the Empress; as though Spirit was protecting us and nothing could go wrong. We felt very in-control of our lives. The Empress looks as though she need only wave her hand, and what she wants will happen. And she has had success, as indicated by the next card.
The Six of Wands is a card of success and accomplishment. So she feels very accomplished. Everything is in order. “I’ve got it all under control.”
Until she doesn’t. Something happens.
With the Ten of Wands, she’s starting to lose control. The trellis that’s been made is too heavy to hold up. Too many things are happening, and it seems overwhelming.
So maybe what we need is a change in thinking. The Hanged Man comes up next, but I’d rather call him The Suspended Man. He is suspended in thought; contemplating how he might look at things differently. And maybe he’s taking a little down-time to relax, because as long as you keep yourself so hectic, clarity of thought cannot occur.
