Taurus 2024 04 08

Hello Taurus, and welcome to TenPaths tarot.

The first card to leap from the deck is the Knight of Cups. Next we have the Queen of Swords, and then the King of Cups. The fourth card is the Hierophant.

With the Knight of Cups, we have some hesitant forward motion. Knights usually mean that you’re moving forward, but this knight is very worried about spilling what is inside the cup; and usually cups represent love and emotion. Maybe he’s trying to get his emotions under control.

He does have a vision, but it’s still a bit of a dream. The knight’s charger has the body of a seahorse, which represents magic and desires. But this charger can’t go very far because the seahorse needs water, and right now it’s on land.

So there is concern about moving forward. There’s a desire, but also a concern.

Whenever I see a single sword, as in the Queen of Swords, I see clarity of vision; clarity of thought. And that lack of clarity may be what’s keeping you still.

Above the King of Cups are thick, twisting ropes. It’s almost as thought the Queen wants to cut through those tangled thoughts and come out with clarity.

The queen is under Spirit’s guidance, and we see Spirit is represented as both man and woman. However, Spirit has no gender and neither does tarot. We  simply say he or she due to the limitations of our language.

The King of Cups appears to be thinking clearly, but is that just a façade to hide the tangle of emotions. He knows what he wants to do, but his emotions are so tangled up that it’s difficult to move.

Then we have the Hierophant, which represents traditional ways of thinking; ways we’ve been taught to think. But now there is a debate as to whether these traditional ways are best. Maybe there is another way. Maybe this is what’s keeping us frozen.
