Hello Capricorn.
The first card to jump from the deck is the Five of Cups, followed by the Nine of Cups. Then we have the Ten of Pentacles. Pentacles represents the things on earth that we need in order to thrive. And then we have the Nine of Swords.
Let’s look first at the Five of Cups. Cups represents love, but also abundance; the essence of life, since water is needed by everything. But this person is saying, perhaps this isn’t enough. They are considering walking away from the cups they have for something unknown. They have something in mind. A dream, represented by a seahorse, also appears in the card.
Now let’s look at the Nine of Cups. This person is in a similar state. They have even more cups. They have nearly as many cups as a person can have. They have plenty of love, but they’re still not happy. Something is troubling them. Their dreams have been put aside. Maybe they haven’t looked at their dreams in such a long time that they don’t even know what they look like any more.
In addition to having plenty of love, it looks like there’s earthly abundance, as indicated by the Ten of Pentacles. Pentacles represent the things we need in order to thrive on Earth. But in spite of having plenty, there’s a feeling again of dissatisfaction, as though you’re thinking there must be more. And the ram pictured is just standing, when it usually wants to push forward. And the ram is your sign, Capricorn.
The final card is the Nine of Swords. When swords are pictured over one’s head, they represent troubling thoughts; those things that keep us awake at night; that wake us up in the middle of the night. The thoughts that whir around in our brain.
So let me look at all of the cards together now. There’s an overall feeling of dissatisfaction. That maybe if I’d done something differently, I wouldn’t be in this situation. It might be that it is simply the human condition to be in that state from time to time. Until we reach that state, we usually don’t step out of our comfort zone. We’re forced into growth through discomfort.
